Vega, Vega-Lite and Altair gallery example index

An index of examples published in the Vega, Vega-Lite, and Altair galleries. Each record describes one example, links to its rendered page and source, lists its gallery categories, and identifies any vega-datasets resources it uses. The datasets array is empty when it uses none.

The contents of gallery-examples.json are a snapshot of the three galleries, created for a particular vega-datasets release from one pinned commit per gallery. When a newer version of vega-datasets is released, the file may be regenerated to reflect examples added, removed, or updated in those galleries.

This dataset is published and documented but no Vega, Vega-Lite or Altair example uses it. A new example would be a welcome contribution.
